Tommy Sugo School Shark Tank Presentation Incursion

Perfect for the whole School: Entrepreneurial, Interactive, Real Skills & Huge Fun!

Welcome to Tommy Sugo Shark Tank Presentations– a dynamic, hands-on experience that brings entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and innovation straight into the heart of your school.

These programs are led by Nathan Baws, a real Shark Tank Australia alumnus, passionate educator, and successful entrepreneur. He delivers practical lessons and inspirational energy that stick with students well beyond the classroom.

These aren’t your average school talks. Our Shark Tank workshops for schools are designed to inspire students to think like entrepreneurs, challenge their ideas, and step outside their comfort zones. Nathan’s story- from launching his business to facing the Sharks on national TV- becomes the spark that lights a fire in curious young minds.

Whether you’re planning a leadership day, a business unit, or a school-wide innovation week, this is a real-world learning incursion that combines storytelling, strategy, and student interaction in a high-energy format. These experiences are perfectly aligned with modern education goals- teaching kids how to adapt, lead, and innovate in the real world.

When students participate in the interactive Shark Tank experience for schools WA, they leave not only entertained but also empowered- with newfound confidence, sharper thinking skills, and a real sense of what’s possible when they take initiative.

How It Works

The Tommy Sugo Shark Tank Presentations are structured to be smooth, engaging, and incredibly easy for schools to organise. Schools choose from three clear packages, each tailored to suit different needs- whether you want inspiration, real-life application, or a full Shark Tank style business pitch for students.

Nathan personally runs every session. It begins with a powerful story- how he went from dreaming big to pitching on Shark Tank Australia. Depending on the package you select, the session may include a motivational talk, hands-on sales training with Tommy Sugo products, or an immersive pitch competition judged by your own community.

The setup is flexible. You only need to provide a classroom, hall, or gym and (if available) AV equipment. Whether you’re working with a single class or your entire senior school, the session is adapted to suit your student group and curriculum focus.

And because it’s hosted through Tommy Sugo, it’s more than a lesson- it’s a real-world experience. Students engage with entrepreneurial content, real sales training, and business simulation in a way that’s practical, fun, and unforgettable.

This is ideal for:

  • Shark Tank teamwork and leadership programs
  • Shark Tank innovation workshops for teens
  • Shark Tank incursions Western Australia
  • Entrepreneurship incursion Australia
  • Entrepreneurial incursion Perth schools

 FAQs

  1. What year levels is this program best suited for?
The program is designed to be flexible and scalable, making it ideal for students from Year 5 all the way to Year 12. Nathan adjusts his delivery style and content to suit the age group, ensuring each session is relevant, age-appropriate, and engaging.
  2. Do students need to have any prior business or entrepreneurial knowledge?
Not at all! These sessions are designed to be inclusive and beginner-friendly. Even students with zero exposure to business concepts can follow along, learn from real-world examples, and build a foundational understanding of entrepreneurship. The goal is to spark curiosity and confidence, not to test what they already know.
  3. Can we run this for multiple year levels in one day?
Yes, absolutely. Many schools book back-to-back sessions to cater for different groups throughout the school day. Each session can be tailored to the specific learning outcomes and maturity level of the students. Whether you’re running a leadership day, careers week, or a multi-year incursion, we make scheduling seamless.
  4. What kind of space and setup do we need?
We can work with almost any venue- whether it’s a classroom, assembly hall, or even a gymnasium. All that’s required is a clear space for Nathan to present and, ideally, a projector or screen with audio for the video portion. We’ll confirm logistics with you ahead of time to ensure a smooth experience.
  5. Is this aligned with the WA curriculum or national learning goals?
Yes. The incursion supports outcomes in enterprise education, financial literacy, leadership, collaboration, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. It also aligns with goals from the WA Curriculum and General Capabilities. Many schools also use it to complement Business Studies, English, and HASS units.
  6. Can we involve parents or the wider school community in the pitch event?
Definitely! In fact, we encourage it for the third package (Student Pitch Event). Having entrepreneurial parents, teachers, or local business owners on the judging panel adds authenticity and community connection. It turns the session into a shared celebration of innovation and student potential.
  7. What kind of follow-up can schools do after the session?
We’ve seen great outcomes when schools run mini-market stalls, business expos, or follow-up pitch clubs. The session naturally ignites momentum, and we’re happy to provide ideas or frameworks you can build on. Some schools even invite Nathan back for follow-up mentoring or judging roles. Additionally we offer a full financial literacy course called www.flareschool.com if schools want to get further education in the financial literacy area.
  8. Is the fundraising sales session a real fundraiser or just a simulation?
It’s completely real! Students will learn how to sell actual Tommy Sugo products, earn commissions for their school or chosen charity, and apply real-world sales skills. It’s one of the most popular options for schools wanting practical learning with real financial impact.
